The acid part of acid rain is a chemicals and chemistry is the study of chemistry. Geology is the study of earth and acid rain has certain harmful toxic effects on the ground. Meterology is the study of weather and clouds and acid rain comes from clouds. Is this to generic? I don't know how specific you want the examples to be.
